Translating conservation
Connecting people with meaningful information
This project is genuinely for all of you! We know that wildlife and conservation science can be quite intricate, and it’s understandable that not everyone has a clear grasp of the science behind it. Often, the information shared by scientists isn’t presented in a way that everyone can easily access. For instance, many scientific journals that researchers use require paid subscriptions, and even when they are available, they often use complex language that can be tough to follow. These challenges make it harder for everyday folk to obtain the information they need on wildlife and conservation.
I aim to create a platform where everyone can easily access information about wildlife and conservation that is often hard to find or too expensive for many people. Through this project, I’m excited to share insights about wildlife conservation and highlight its importance in a way that is easy to understand. I truly believe that when people grasp conservation practices, we can make these initiatives much more achievable together. It’s an essential responsibility of researchers like me to present complex information in a manner that everyone can appreciate. This amazing effort is proudly supported by the CoalitionWILD EXCELerator Programme 2020, CoalitionWILD The Wild Foundation.
My Thoughts!
“When you are doing conservation, think like a scientist, but when you teach or communicate conservation, think like a child.”
